Senior Design Engineer

Crowley Engineering are a specialist mechanical engineering company established in 1972, manufacturing and installing dry goods handling equipment. Initially, it provided materials handling solutions to the agricultural sector but now provides solutions for many dry bulk handling industries, from quarries to pharmaceutical industries.  We have a reputation for excellence in providing world-class, innovative engineered solutions, based on unrivalled expertise. We continuously push manufacturing, design and material boundaries to provide customers with trouble free solutions.

Our staff currently consists of over 75 employees based in a 2,300m2 covered area on a 6ha site.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Design Engineer to join our successful operation based in Glanmire, Co. Cork. The successful candidate will have the ability to oversee and manage a team of 5 Drafting Personnel and liaise with our Project Managers and Workshops.

The ideal candidate should:

• Be proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor and have experience in managing drafting personnel.
• Have a good understanding of mechanical drafting and hands on experience of mechanical design, especially in the area of dry materials handling and processing.
• Have the ability to interpret Project Managers instructions and Site Notes and to convert them quickly to designs/solutions is essential.
• Experience is Sheet Metal Design would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of programming of Punch and Plasma Machines would also be an advantage.
• Minimum requirements 
• A 3rd level qualification in Mechanical Engineering is essential.

Cad Technician

We have an immediate requirement for a Cad technician to join our Engineering Team. You will be responsible for producing Mechanical Drawings on AutoCAD. You will be working on a vast variety of projects from complete plants to individual machines.

The successful candidates will:

• Provide 2D and 3D CAD Drawings from information provided by the Engineering Team.
• Produce Layout Drawings of various Projects.
• Produce Fabrication Drawings for the Workshop.
• Provide Material Requisitions to the Purchasing Dept.

Requirements:

• Detailed knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor.
• Mechanical Engineering qualification with relevant experience.
• Good understanding of Sheet Metal Fabrication techniques.
• Ability to understand and interpret information provided by Clients and Engineering Team and to provide cost effective solutions to their requirements.
• Good time management skills
• Able to work well in a team environment.

CNC Programmer

We are looking for a CNC Programmer with experience in CNC Programming a Trump Punch Press and HD Plasma.

Duties:

• Programming of Stock Jobs and Fabricated Parts.
• Drawing in AutoCAD of bespoke parts.
• Work with Workshop Foreman and Engineering Team to plan, schedule and monitor manufacturing and fabrication activities.
• Process material in a manner which ensures that the required quality standards are achieved.
• Promote continuous improvement in manufacturing and fabrication activities.
• Liaise with Workshop Foreman and Engineering Team to ensure products are manufactured to specification and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and 3D
• Be able to interpret Engineering Instructions and Drawings.
• Good understanding of Sheet Metal Fabrication and assembly.
• High level of initiative, energy and motivation
• Team player.
• Hardworking and reliable.

Crowley Engineering at the National Ploughing Championship 2015

Crowley Engineering will have a stand at the National Ploughing Championship in Ratheniska, Stradbally, Co Laois, September 22nd - 24th 2015.

The stand is 336 in row 19 block 3. We will be showing our latest minimum amount batch feeder and electronically controlled pneumatically operated individual feeder, as well as feed bins and accessories, flex augers and grain aeration equipment.
